Whether you're a freshman stepping onto campus for the first time, a returning student, a graduate student, a member of the ASU faculty and staff, or a supporter of our ministry, we're so glad you found us. The Catholic Newman Center is a home away from home for Catholics at Angelo State, and a place of welcome for anyone wanting to learn more about Jesus Christ and His Church.
College is a season of big questions: Who am I? What am I made for? Where do I belong? We believe those questions find their answer in a personal encounter with Christ. Here you'll find a community of students walking that road together, praying, learning, serving, sharing meals, and building friendships meant to last well beyond graduation.
You don't need to have it all figured out. Maybe you've been Catholic your whole life, maybe you've drifted away, or maybe you're just wondering what the Catholic faith is about. There's a place for you here. Stop by, grab a seat, and meet some people. Our door is open.
The patron of Newman Centers worldwide, St. John Henry Newman, took as his motto cor ad cor loquitur, "heart speaks to heart." That's our hope for every person who walks through our doors: that you'll meet Christ heart to heart, and carry His love out onto campus and into the world.
